Bored and looking to sharpen some of your acting skills from home?  Youtheatre's E-cademy invites you to join instructor Christopher J. Murphy for a series of online workshops learning and practicing dialects/accents commonly used by American actors.  Using the online platform Zoom, each 40- 50 minute workshop will be limited to 10 students so that everyone has an opportunity to learn, try, get feedback and grow in a supportive and fun environment. 

The Irish Accent is one of the most recognized in the world.  In the 1800s, the Irish made up 1/3 of all immigrants to the U.S!  Filled with a sense of warmth and good cheer, this a great accent for an actor to have in their toolbox for plays and musicals.  It's more than just the Lucky Charms guy! 

Murphy (good Irish name) got his first stage role at age 10 because he was the only kid in 5th grade who could do a German accent!  As a character actor, he's spent his life studying a host of dialects and looks forward to sharing with you!
